| The Bitely Boys was established in the year 2000, by a group of friends who decided the community needed a group that would help Bitely and it's surrounding communities through raising funds for needy causes. Those in need could be: cancer victims, groups, fire victims, or someone struggling.
The Bitely Boys have grown from it's original eight members to the current list in the hundreds. Annual fund raisers have been for the Lilley Merrill Rescue Squad, Amazing Grace Acres Church, The Community Children's Christmas party, Hospice, habitat for Humanity, and many individuals. This has been accomplished through auctions, raffles, poker runs, Putt-Putt runs and lots of work by our dedicated members.
In the year 2004 the Old Schoolhouse in Bitely became our Clubhouse, which has been renovated to meet the needs of our activities. our monthly meetings are held here as well as the center of our many events. We also adopt a family from our area for Christmas and put on a free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for anyone who does not have a place to go. Twice a year our road clean-up is held to keep our township roads clean. The Stephen Bitely Memorial Park is our project so the kids have a playground to enjoy. Our reputation has grown along with our club. Our community is behind us 100%. Come Join Us! |
